Description:
With a serial #02277,in 12 Ga., 28” barrel with a mostly bright bore showing scattered shallow pits about 6" down from the muzzle, nut not fully , and then further down is clean; won;t affect the shooting accuracy. The metal surfaces of this shotgun retain about 96% original blue showing the expected loss around the nipple and a 1/2” circle of abrasion loss on the rear of the barrel. The lock displays generous amounts of case hardening with a few spots of staining with loss on the top of the hammer. The straight grip walnut stock rates very good with a few small impact marks on the left stock flat and toe line displaying an attractive straight grain pattern with a bit of vertical figure in the buttstock. The shotgun is sighted with a single brass bead, functions well mechanically and includes a fiberglass tulip head ramrod. The muzzle measures about CYL choke.When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
