Nice example of an original Civil War .577 Enfield paper cartridge. Millions of these were run through the blockade to Confederate as well as Federal forces during the war.
This one does have a repair - the paper around the projectile has been re-glued. It's not really noticeable but there none the less. Priced accordingly. I've included some closeup pics of the repair. Please keep in mind that those photos are at maximum zoom. Only a very few grains of powder were lost. Not enough to make a difference in volume. Other than that it's all original. The wax dipped coating on the projectile end doesn't show in photos because it isn't darker but it's clearly there. No maker mark. If it ever had any it's long been AWOL. Measures 3" long.
This is a bargain price for an original Enfield cartridge!
