Description:
This is a super-rare single-action semi-auto M.A.B. Model PA-15 9mm Target Pistol in like-new minty condition and complete with it's original case and all of the accesories it was shipped with. The M.A.B. PA-15 9mm Target Model was designed and built by the French firm M.A.B. to be the ultimate version of the standard PA-15 military-type pistol, refined and accurized to compete and win military pistol target shooting competitions anywhere in the world. These pistols were not simply standard PA-15's that were modified, this pistol was built to be this from the very start. The frame, slide, and barrel were all made specifically for this model (both slide and barrel are longer than standard model), and each gun was built by one man from start to finish. These were completely hand-fit and assembled, with each part being fit perfectly to the gun. The pistol was then highly polished and finished with a high-gloss commercial-quality blue. The gun was then tested and tuned to be superbly accurate and function perfectly with match quality ammo. If the gun did not function perfectly or shoot to the accuracy standard it was sent back to the gunsmith to start over. These pistols can out-shoot or match any of the traditional military match pistols such as the Sig P210, National Match 1911, Beretta 92 Target, Sig 226 Target Models, and accurized Browning High Power. While the standard PA-15 and PA-15 Target were primarily designed for export sales as French laws restricted civilian ownership of military pistols, the French Army, Air Force, and Gendarmerie all bought small quantities of the PA-15 Target for match use. The guns being used by these French services were given the designation PAP Modele F1, for "Pistolet Automatique de Precision". Manufactured on a limited basis from 1975 until 1982, very few of the Target models were imported into the States before it was discontinued. They are rarely seen on the collector's market these days in any condition, much less as minty and complete and as this one. This PA-15 Target features a 6" inch match grade barrel, checkered Walnut grips, a Patridge target-type front sight, "Micro" windage and elevation adjustable rear sight, a high-polish blue finish, a finely-tuned adjustable target trigger, a left-side thumb safety, a push-button magazine release, a left-side mounted slide stop/release, and a 15 round double-stack magazine. As mentioned before, this pistol comes in the factory presentation case with the instuction manual, factory bore brush, a 25 round box of Austrian made Hirtenberg ammunition (we believe the gun came with this ammo), and (2) 15-round factory magazines. This rare pistol has been factory test fired and maybe has had one magazine fired thru it at most. It is in PERFECT mechanical condition, and retains 99%+ of the beautiful original blue finish. The grips look like-new and fit well. The bore looks like-new and the action is extremely slick and smooth. This pistol would be an excellent addition to any collection and has to be one of the cleanest examples in existence anywhere!
