#225948, Winchester 270 Win. Model 70 Pre-64 Super Grade, Made in 1952, This piece was completely refinished on both the metal and stock, 24" barrel without any open sights, I am not sure it ever had open sights as the typical dog knot on Model 70 barrels had a dovetail cut and this barrel has no sign of ever having it cut, The barrel has all of the proper Winchester script, Leupold 3.5 x 10, 2 piece scope bases with each having a lever release,, Standard 3 position safety, Standard Model 70 hinged floorplate, Monte Carlo comb stock, Super Grade wrap around point pattern checkering, Super Grade double screw sling eyes and Super Grade swivels, Cheekpiece, Forend tip, Proper WRAC grip cap, 13 11/16" LOP over the correct steel buttplate, 9 lbs. 10 oz. with the Leupold installed, The blue now is 99%, The renewed wood finish now at 98%, The checkering was not re-cut and remains at 98%, The bore is excellent plus.
