Description:
Serial #4793, .32 S&W, 3" ribbed barrel with a fine dark bore showing some roughness and strong rifling. This is the triple action Safety Police top break revolver manufactured by The Hopkins & Allen Arms Company. Considered one of the best designed and strongest of the top break revolvers due to the very strong latch mechanism and hammer which lowers out of position to fire when the trigger is released. In near excellent condition it retains about 85-90% of the original nickel finish with scattered areas of finish loss. The hammer and trigger show some of the original smoky case color with the blued trigger guard having about half of the original finish. The hard rubber H&A grips are solid but heavily worn. The lock up is tight with proper timing. A well built revolver from the early part of the 1900's. FFL or C&R
