Description:
Serial #945, .35 S&W Auto, 3 1/2" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This first year of production pistol has retained nearly all of the original blue finish, with only some very mild silvering and freckling at the muzzle, and on the sides of the trigger. Some additional silvering is present on the edges of the early type, sideways magazine catch, and the walnut grips have some minor handling marks on either panel. A single original magazine is present. A 2017-dated S&W factory letter accompanies the pistol and lists a shipping date of August 7, 1913, to Peters Arms Co. of Cincinnati, OH. This was a firearms and sporting goods company formed in 1900 by O.E. Peters, president of Peters Cartridge Co. This is a rare, early type Model 1913, and would make a splendid addition to any collection. FFL or C&R
