Description:
Serial #206701 (59020 on butt), .45 ACP/.45 Auto Rim, 5 1/2" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a 1919-made, "JMG" inspected revolver that retains 97-98% of the original brushed blue finish with traces of mild silvering and fading at the muzzle, left side of the barrel, on some of the exposed edges and surfaces, and along the heel of the gripstrap. Some negligible specks of freckling are present on the cylinder as well. The hammer and trigger have nearly all of their original blue remaining, and the walnut grips, numbered to the gun on the interior, have scattered small handling marks and minor surface blemishes in the original oil finish. The lock-up is rock-solid, and the action functions flawlessly. This is a truly excellent example of a Colt-made Model 1917, and would make a fantastic addition to any collection. FFL or C&R
