Description:
For your consideration, a Winchester M1 Carbine chambered in .30 Carbine. This piece is a mix of early and late features with a type 3 stamped rear sight, "EW" marked crossbolt safety, and pre-M2 stock. Stock markings include a painted rack number, (P), boxed "NPM FJA" (for National Postal Meter and Inspector Lt. Col. Frank J. Atwood), boxed "RIA EB" (Rock Island Arsenal, Elmer Bjerke), "Trimble, TN," and the crossed cannons Ordnance Dept. device. Dates to February 1944. .30 Carbine
