A factory letter has been ordered and comes with this revolver. From the letter: It as shipped June 27, 1874 to Schuyler, Hartley & Graham in NYC. 7 ½” barrel, .45 lc., one piece Walnut grips. Look closely at the photos; everything is correct, and all serial numbered parts and pieces are as the should. Even assembly number 970 is shown on loading gate on on the bottom of the frame under the trigger guard. About the only place there is any original blue is under the ejector rod housing where, of course, there has been no wear! It is a strong action, mechanically tight and strong. Cylinder indexes properly. But the 3rd & 4th “click” are very close together, indication hammer/sear engagement wear. Still safe to shoot. Good bore, not great, but good with strong rifling and some old light crusting. I think new screw are in order. The slots on these need attention. SN: 10467 SOLD |
