Serial No. 79006, manufactured in 1857, 7.5"" octagonal barrel with Hartford address, .36 caliber. Metal is a smooth mottled brown patina with traces and original blue and case coloring noted on the frame and recoil shields. Frame is martially marked with ""U.S."" and ""S"" inspector marks are present on barrel and cylinder. Cylinder retaines 75% cylinder scene, one piece walnut grips are in overall good condition with faint cartouches noted. Serial numbers are matching and wedge is not numbered. Action has a tight lock up and indexes properly, bore shows surface oxidation with strong rifling.
