Smith & Wesson Model 53, in .22 Remington Jet with a 4 inch barrel.
In May of 1961, a joint effort between Smith & Wesson and Remington, was to produce a 22 caliber Center Fire revolver. Chambered in the newly created .22 Remington Jet, this cartridge provides more power than the .22LR or the .22WMR.
This particular revolver has only the .22Jet cylinder. Front of cylinder does have scratches from the barrel / forcing cone, but other than that appears to have had very little use.
Reloading Manuals recommend Hornet Bullets in 0.223 diameter for best performance. $1849.95
