Serial No. 3357, made in 1896 by Erfurt, 8x57mm,18"" barrel. Receiver has been upgraded for the spitzer round noted by the ""S"". Bore is bright with some minor frosting visible in the grooves. Serial numbers are matching, stock has been lightly sanded down at some point. A peep sight has been added to the bolts rear. The front band has a regimental stamp ""U.12.2.74"", these carbines saw action up until the end of the War!
