Description:
***SOLD, shipped*** An excellent and super scarce transition era rifle in 22 Hornet caliber. S/N 87*** with matching scribed bolt made in 1948. These "transition" guns were only made for a few years just after WWII from 1946-48 and unlike other post war guns have some unique features including a Pre War style clover leaf tang and the "clam shell" or "rabbit's foot" safety lever.
This rifle is in excellent original condition showing 97% Blue other than the buttplate which shows more wear, and 96% Varnish with a few handling marks. 24" Barrel. The bore and mechanics are excellent. I have also verified that the chamber remains a true 22 Hornet and has never been reamed to K.
A very nice and very hard to find rifle, and a blast to shoot.
Expedited and fully insured shipping from Alaska to your FFL is an additional $75.
