Beautiful M1 Carbine from WW2 made by Underwood Elliot Fisher, manufacturer of typewriters, among other things. Underwoods' first serial number block started at 1,350.000,so this M1 Carbine was one of the first approximately 15,000 made by the company. They reportedly made 545,616 total. This carbine has all the early features, including flip rear sight, correct stock with proper stamps, flat bolt, dogleg hammer, and checkered safety. The barrel is Underwood and dated 1-43. ME=1.7.
