Description:
Offered for sale is a rare 28-gauge Winchester model 23 Golden Quail, side by side. The Winchester 23 Golden Quail 28ga was introduced in 1985 and this 28ga was one of 500 produced, having serial number GQ-57E. This shotgun features 25 ½ inch barrels, improved cylinder/modified fixed chokes, a solid raised rib and a white front beaded sight. The receiver is scrolled engraved with surrounding quail and hunting dog scenes on the sides and a gold raised relief quail head on the bottom. The straight grip stock and beavertail forend are made of checkered walnut and the rubber but pad is the original Winchester. The trigger is single selective, the safety is automatic, and this gun comes with ejectors. This shotgun is in perfect original condition apart from a nick in the stock seen in picture number 14. An additional stock has been purchased and comes with the gun. This great little bird gun weighs 6lbs 14oz and measures out at a LOP of 14 1/2, DAC of 1 1/2 and DAH of 2 3/8.
