Here we have a nice 1943 mfg Saginaw M1 Carbine chambered in .30 Carbine caliber. This rifle was made in 1943 and has gone through at least one arsenal rebuild. The Inland barrel is marked "2-45". The components that could be identified include a Winchester flat bolt, Saginaw slide, KSG magazine, type 3 barrel band, type III rear sight, and an Inland top handguard. The low wood stock is unmarked and has an oval sling slot. The trigger housing is unmarked. This M1 carbine parkerized finish has worn to a handsome patina over the years. The stock has very few dings or dents and the overall look of the stock with the metal components makes for a very handsome rifle that is representative of the era. The action functions as it should and is buttery smooth. The crown has been lightly touched-up and the muzzle has been slightly counter-bored. This would be an excellent opportunity to add a very nice representative M1 Carbine to your military collection!
