Description:
28 inch solid matted rib round barrels chambered in 500 Black Powder Express caliber with bright shiny bores and strong rifling. Barrels are a plum/brown color with some scattered areas of light pitting on the exterior. Sights include a replacement square notch rear and a thick blade front. Barrel markings remain good and legible. Frame is mostly a silver/gray color. Hammers and underlever are a darker gray color and are possibly re-blued. Checkered walnut pistolgrip stock and forearm are in about good condition. Forearm checkering is worn smooth and shows small chips and cracks. The capped pistolgrip has had the checkering freshened. 14 inch LOP to the end of the red rubber butt pad. Sling eyes are present. Rebounding hammers function well. This old British double rifle has a lot of character and could have been used in Africa or India.
