This is a very nice looking, 1917-made pistol that retains nearly 75-80% of the original brushed blue finish, with silvering along the high edges, and small areas of plum-brown freckling scattered throughout; mainly on the slide serrations. Some further freckling is present on the frame, and there is a semicircular arc under the slide lever. There is further gray fading and brown freckling on the mainspring housing. The checkered wood double-diamond grips are in very good-fine condition with mild flattening of the points, as well as wear at the butt on either panel. The pistol is housed in a 1917-dated US holster that is in very good condition with crazing on the cover flap, and numerous small scuffs throughout. Thick verdigris is present on the closure stud and rivets as well. A single, original two-tone magazine is included. This is a great example of a WW1 Model 1911, and is in very good overall condition.
