SPIRLET ARGUEBR A LIEGE CA. 1808-10. 8” o/a with 3” round .48 cal. smoothbore barrel engraved at the underside of breech “B. SPIRLET/ARQUEBR A LIEGE”. Finely engraved with bird scenes on the sides of the box lock and beautifully checkered and carved. “SHELL” motif chiseled in relief on trigger guard. Excellent condition and one of the nicest ones from the French period of Liege gun making by one of the best maker’s of the Napoleonic era. Excellent working order.
