This is an excellent example of a BYF 42 "Black Widow" Mauser Luger issued to the Nazi military in 1942. It is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 135" military acceptance proofs. It comes with a set of original black bakelite "Black Widow" grips and an original "Black Widow" magazine. The left grip shows some signs of wear. No cracks or chips in the magazine bottom. The gun itself has retained about 95% of its original finish. Very minor wear around the muzzle, on the side plate, and on the side rails. Areas of minor thinning on the barrel and on both grip straps. Very light brown patina on both grip straps. While there is not much actual finish loss, there are areas with tiny pits here and there, most noticeable on the side plate, side rails, and on the grip straps. The bore has decent rifling, but there is pin-pricking throughout.
