Description:
Model 1865 Spencer Carbine. Serial Number 12,536 - Calibre .56-50. Barrel 20" Round, Blue/Case Hardened, Stock Walnut. Inspector marks J.J. in front of sling bar, P - on Hammer, R - Loading Lever, W.W. - On Breech Block, W - On flat left side of barrel - No markings on stock.
Condition: Crisp marking - Mechanically Excellent - 80% original blue finish - 75% original case colors. A few very minor scratches & dings. Note: This carbine was carried by a Cavalryman using his carbine sling which caused the long mark on the wood stock. See in photos. A fine example of a Model 1865 Spencer Carbine.
