Description:
Cased Set of Engraved 6" 1849 Colt Pocket Revolvers shown in Colt Engraving Book Vol 1, Pg 54. Owned by Bill Myers'. This set was ultimately in the collection of Bobby Smith who recased them with additional accessories and then in the possession of Pete Holder.
These revolvers were engraved by two different hands in the donut style. The rosewood case is brass bound and in fine condition as are the accessories.
The engraving on S/N 46076 is of a slightly higher quality than that of S/N 49761. Both revolvers retain 80-90% of original blue with crisp markings and engraving. Grips are near perfect as is trigger guard and back strap silver plating. Case colors on frames of both revolvers are muted as can be expected on earlier revolvers.
Will also consider trades that include an early 4" donut scroll engraved 1849 Colt Pocket (uncased or cased)
This is a set worthy of a high end collections.
