Description:
A research letter from the L. C. Smith Collectors Association verifies that this Smith was shipped with 26 inch barrels. According to Hunter Arms records, they only made twenty-eight Grade 1's in 16 gauge with 26 inch barrels. The barrels are chocked M&F. The bores are bright and the right barrel has three nicks toward the muzzel end. The damascus pattern can be easily seen, although it is mostly thin and absent in some areas. The checlering is almost perfect. There are no cracks in the wood. There is a shallow chip at the toe of the buttplate. There are some light marks on the varnish. The early engraving is expertly excecuted with not a hitch in it. 6lb. 5 ounces. This is a hard to find Smith. Shipping and insurance is $75. C&R or FFL required
