This is a one in a hundred , extraordinary rifle, Model 70 , Cal. .270 Win. with Leupold scope.
Embellished with gold engraving on the floor plate signifying 1998 as the SCI "Year of the Whitetail ". This was a Chapter rifle and included a beautiful TSA approved aluminum case. It has NEVER been fired and kept in my vault. The rifle has a Leupold VX-IIc mounted on it. There is Gold engraving on the scope proclaiming "SAFARI CLUB INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF THE WHITETAIL".
It has a PRE-64 type action with claw extractor and controlled round feeding and blade type ejector. Jeweled bolt. Three position safety allows bolt to be manipulated while on "Safe". Really beautiful , very high Grade American walnut stock with cheek piece for right handed shooter. Ebony forearm tip. Rubber recoil pad. 24 inch barrel. This rifle was made in New Haven, Connecticut. Here in USA.
