Description:
20 inch blued barrel features a blade front and folding ladder rear sights with a very good bore. Retains about 90% arsenal refurbished blue finish on the barrel with scattered moderate freckling. 85% original case colors remain on the action and buttplate. Stabler cutoff. Wood is in good condition with some scattered handling mars. Small single letter inspection initials marked on various components, and "J.L.C" inspection initials on the left of the barrel at the breech. "80/G" is branded into the right side of the buttstock. Most of the Model 1865 Spencer carbines were manufactured in 1865 and 1866 after the end of the Civil War. Many were used during Reconstruction and in the Indian Wars before the Springfield Trapdoors were widely issued. This carbine would make a great addition to any US Martial collection.
