Description:
This M1891 bayonet and scabbard were made in Italy for the Carcano M1891/41 rifle. That rifle was the standard military firearm for the Italian army leading into and during World War II. From my internet searches, bayonets for the Carcano seem to be hard to find. This bayonet would be a fine example to display with your bayonet or World War II collection.
  • The bayonet is in very good condition.
  • The overall length is sixteen inches. The blade is eleven and five eights inches long.
  • The blued blade has not been resharpened and is not damaged, showing only scabbard wear. There is no rust or pitting.
  • The wooden grips are in excellent conditon with good finish and no chips or cracks.
  • The locking device works smoothly.
  • Stamped on the right side of the ricasso is BNUTTI in a circle. On the left side are the letters CA in a circle.
  • The cross piece is stamped G9363
  • The unmarked ribbed steel scabbard is in very good condition. It has no rust or dents.
  • There is no leather frog.
