Description:
Offered is a Wiinchester Model 1866 Rifle in 44 Rimfire Caliber. The gun is in Average Conditon with 40-50% of the original finish still in place. The forend is walnut with only a small sliver of the upper right edge missing. The stock has a number of large to medium gouges and dents as would be expected for gun of this age.
The 24" barrel is round in contour and the bore is smooth with no pitting. It is dark over the entire surface of the bore. The forend cap and contoured butt ;late are steel. There is a brass gate over the cleaning rod cover in the Butt plate.
Altogether this is a very nice Model "66" and would maike a nice addition to any Winchester Collection.
