Description:
Offered is a Winchester Model 1886 in 45-90 caliber. The s/n (24952) ilndicates a 1888 production year. The gun appers to have been refinished sometime in its life and retains 90% of this finish. The walnut stock and forend are in excellent condition with only a small chip at the top of the stock where it joins the receiver on the right sisde. Otherwise there are no major dents or scrapes on any of the wood surfaces.
The barrel is octagon and q full 26inches long. The bore is smooth with no pittting or corrosion. Mechanically, the gun functions perfectly.
This is an exceptional 1886 rifle and would make a great addition to any Winchester Collection or a great shooter.
