Description:
44 Ballard RF, 28 inch octagon barrel with a bright near excellent bore showing a few small areas of fine pitting and crisp rifling throughout. Equipped with Remington’s single set trigger and sights upgrades consisting of the factory combination rear leaf with sliding aperture, and Beach style combination front. Barrel of this rifle retains about 70% original blue that is starting to brown. The barrel shows no address and is marked with “44 CTG’E” designation. The action shows generous strong case-hardened colors taking on a smoky patina. Smooth walnut buttstock and forend with steel schnabel remain in very good condition with original oil finish and light handling marks and a few small old chips around the point of comb.
