Description:
With an early SN. 45907 possibly a Sharon or Green Mountain made barrel of, .50 cal.,and a 28” octagon barrel with an excellent bore. The barrel and triggers retain 97-98% original blue with small patches of wear on the top and right barrel flats in front of the forend along with a couple fine storage marks and specks of fine oxidation. The lock retains much bright vibrant case colors with some light staining on the front of the cock just behind the jaw screw and light flint strikes on the frizzen, and the patchbox, buttplate, triggerguard and remaining hardware have a pleasing softly tarnished brass patina. The hand rubbed American walnut stock remains in excellent condition with only a couple minor handling marks. The original sights remain in place and the double set triggers function well mechanically. Included is a proper wooden ramrod and a brass cleaning jag is present behind the patchbox. Overall above average condition! When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
