Description:
The Model 1897 is the precurser to the famous Model 39/39a and is a follow-on to the Model 1891. This one features a full octagonal barrel, Micro-Groove rifling, a cross-bolt safety, and a take-doen frome. It is chambered for Short, Long, and Long Rifle cartridges. This is a late-model, circa 1997, re-issue and has the hammer lock safety feature. .22 Short/Long/Long Rifle
