The Sig Sauer 716-G2 is a semi-automatic, piston-driven AR-10 pattern rifle chambered in 7.62x51 with a 20+1 round capacity. The 16-inch free-float, carbon steel barrel has a 1 to 10 twist. The receiver is hard coat anodized and the aluminum handguard is equipped with KeyMod attachment points. Other features include a mil-spec trigger, six-position buttstock and familiar AR-10 controls. The weight is 8.2 pounds and the overall length is 38.2 inches.
The Sig 716 G2 is a versatile weapon system capable of handling anything from competitions to medium-large game. Built on Sig’s proven short-stroke piston system and with all the features you’d expect, slap an optic on this rifle and you’ll be prepared for anything out to 800 or even 1000 yards.
