Listed is a pre owned Colt Army Model of 1911 that is marked as US Property. This pistol is in good condition overall and definitely shows signs of issue and field use, including some swapped parts. The blued finish has faded to a plum brown, and shows old spots of corrosion. The original stamping remains crisp and it does not appear to have been refinished. The wooden grips still have some checkering left, with some light scuffing and scratches and no chips or cracks. The bore of the 5\" barrel is bright with some old spots of light pitting visible, and some visible rifling left. Based on the stamping location the rampant colt on the left hand side, it appears the slide is from an earlier manufactured pistol, most likely an early 1917 or prior. The barrel is marked with the vertical \"P H\" stamping also found on earlier models.
According to the serial number, this pistol was shipped in early February in 1919 (SN 597933). This pistol comes with a soft case, but no box or papers.
