Three Serial #1 - Browning guns from Don Gobel's personal collection. Don Gobel was president and CEO of Browning for 20 years.
In the mid 80's, Gobel commissioned the Belgium Custom Shop to produce a special set of three Gold models with serial number #1 for his personal collection. The Auto-5, the Superposed 20 ga. and the 9mm high power pistol are known as the Gold Classic Series. Shotguns are signed by Gobles friend and Custom Shop head engraver Joes Baerton and the pistol by Jules Lewanczvk. These guns were produced in a very limited quanity. As stated by Don Globel in his letter seeen in pics, "This particular group of Gold Classic Browning firearms has been one of my most cherished in my entire Browning collection." All guns are stocked with the highest grade of American Walnut.
(#1) - Auto-5 12 ga. serial #211GC001. 1 of 500, 28" barrel, modified choke and ventilated rib. Enagraved by Master engraver J. Baerten. Original box included.
(#2) - Superposed Superlite 20 ga. serial #P33GC001. 1 of 500, 26" barrel, IC-M, has (8) gold enlays, engraved by Master engraver J. Baerten. Original box included.
(#3) - 9mm HiPower Pistol. Serial #245GC001, 1 of 500, 5 gold enlays, engraved by J. Lewanczvk. Original box included.
This listing previously included (1) Browning M86 45/70 High Grade Rifle and (1) Browning M86 45/70 High Grade Carbine, both from Don Gobel's collection. After further review, we recognized the rifles were made in Japan. We apologize for the mistake and offer these (3) Made in Belgium guns from Don Gobel's personal collection.

I am selling some of my personal collection. I do not accept trades. I accept payment by cashiers check or personal check. Personal checks must clear before the gun is shipped. (3) day non firing inspection for as new and unfired guns from the date your FFl receives the gun. All sales must go through my FFL and your FFL. My FFL is Duncan's Gun Works. Duncans is open Tuesday through Saturday 9am-5pm. Buyer pays all shipping costs.
