Civil war Austrian Lorenz Model 1854 54 cal rifled musket as found in a barn in N.Carolina. I bought from the family that owned the barn over 50 years ago. It is different than others I have seen in that it doesn't have a cheek rest. Some time in the past the stock was damaged and a peice was cut out of it. Damaged in the war? It is marked 861 on the lock which I assume was a misprint of 1861. The nipple appears to be home made. All other parts look original. Shipping is $35.00. Make an offer. SALE PENDING
