Description:
EARLY MODEL 1885 HIGHWALL THICKSIDE, IN .40-70 SHARPS STRAIGHT, Serial Number #2415, MADE 1886. This sporter has 30", #4 octagon barrel. The .40-70 Sharps Straight was scarce caliber, only 1,428 were produced, that's about 1.30% of production. The front sight is a Beach Combination Front Sight-Regular. The bore is in very good condition. Please see the pictures for the condition of the wood and metal finishes. Also included is the Winchester letter that confirms the configuration of the gun.
This is an antique and can be shipped directly to you. Buyer pays shipping and insurance, approximately $60. I am not an FFL, just a guy selling his collection.
