Description:
This is a beautiful Colt Second Model Dragoon Revolver. It is a military issue with "U.S." marking. Cylinder scene faint, mismatched number on cylinder, and I don't see a number on the wedge. Overall, an outstanding example for any collection. Functions properly. Thanks for looking. John Added several pictures showing cartouches on the grips and a stamp on right side of trigger guard. Serial number on the cylinder is 9474, well within 2nd Model range. Shipping and insurance to you is included (lower 48). PLEASE NOTE: I do not recommend firing the antique guns that I sell. If you decide to do so, you do it at your own risk! This includes working the actions (locks, hammers, triggers, etc.) Old guns (pre-1899) have old parts, including old springs and other internals (we are talking about 150+ years old, on average!). These parts can and do break. You are not buying a new gun; this is an antique/collectible and it is catagorized as such for that reason.
