.44-40 caliber, 24" octagonal barrel with full magazine. Charcoal blued finish, engraved brass receiver, figured wood butt. Oval plate in butt engraved Constitution / 200 / Commemorative. The obverse of the barrel and magazine are engraved with the preamble to the Constitution with gold gilt letters. Obverse receiver engraved with the American eagle surrounded by foliate scrolls, reverse with more foliate scrolls. Leaf rear sight, German silver blade front sight.
