Description:
For sale is a Springfield Range Officer. Firstly, the pictured Matchdot is NOT included; it is there for demonstration. The RO was marketed as a competition ready pistol and has since been discontinued by Springfield. Whether you want a gun to compete with, or simply want a precision pistol this is a great option for affordable accuracy. As pictured the original equipment is included. The only modifications made were mounting the weaver style rail and adding a full length guide rod. A gunsmith drilled and tapped the slide for the Clark's rail that is on it. The gun has seen relatively minor use; the slide, barrel and bushing are all still extremely tight. If you are interested, I also have a Marvel Precision conversion unit ($350) with its original box and ancillaries. The conversion unit is a standard aluminum rail with irons. There are few other factory 1911s that shoot as well as this.
