Light & Popular Shotgun From the Late 1960s
Here we present a C&R G. Zabala / Richland Arms Model 200 Double Barrel Side by Side 20 Gauge Shotgun, made circa the late 1960s to the early 1970s in Zaldibar, Spain. G. Zabala y Cia S.A. was incorporated in 1962 in Zaldibar, in the Basque region of Spain by F. Aldabaldetrecu, J.A. Arrúe, J.L. Sotés, I. Zabala and G. Zabala. Initially the firm produced SxS shotguns and in 1973 Over/Unders, when the name was changed to Lanber Armas S.A.
These shotguns were imported to the United States by Richland Arms of Blissfield, Michigan. This example features a 28” barrel with 3” chambers with an extractor. It has a checkered, pistol grip stock with a raised cheek piece.
Overall condition is fine. Original finish. The actions are excellent. The bores are smooth and bright. The markings are clear. Matching parts. The stock shows a little wear and remains solid. The fiber optic front sight bar that has been installed behind the front sight bead is only installed with an adhesive and it can be removed if desired.
