Here we have a Scheels exclusive Cooper Firearms of Montana Model 22 SVR single shot bolt action rifle chambered in .220 Swift caliber. The .220 Swift (5.56×56mmSR) is a semi-rimmed rifle cartridge developed by Winchester and introduced in 1935 for small game and varmint hunting. It was the first factory-loaded rifle cartridge with a muzzle velocity of over 1,200 m/s (4,000 ft/s), just under Mach 4. Cooper rifles are known for their superior 1/2 MOA accuracy at 100 yards. This single shot bolt action rifle has a laminated stock and the barrel is properly free floated. The 26 inch stainless (matte) match heavy barrel has a minty bore with strong rifling and a crowned muzzle. The bolt has three locking lugs and the action features a two position safety and a loaded chamber indicator. This rifle exhibits only very slight handling marks from safe storage. The original makers box is included. This beautiful rifle would make a great addition to an existing collection or a fine start to a new collection.
