Serial ES00297 has a 22-inch tapering sporter barrel (.645-inch muzzle diameter), Mauser Model 98-type action (double square bridge profile dovetailed for mount attachment and channeled for the integral recoil shoulders of the 1-inch medium rings), full-length claw extractor for controlled round feeding and extraction, three-position safety, knurled bolt knob, steel bottom metal with an inside-the-bow release button, Recknagel trigger and what appears to be a Cerakote metal finish. WOOD: Crafted from a AAA-grade walnut blank, appointments include an ebony forend tip, 24 lines-per-inch wrap checkering, scalloped cheek rest with shadow line, steel grip cap, inletted oval sling swivel studs, Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad and an oil finish. The action is glass bedded. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 7.8 pounds and the length-of-pull is 13.0 inches (over the .5-inch pad). CONDITION: The bore is strong and bright. Metal finish is approximately 97 percent. Wood is well over 90 percent with a modest distribution of field impressions. No box, papers, build sheet or history.
