About Us: Private hobbyist/collector of mostly pre WW2 military rifles and thinning out our collection. I'm not an FFL so all FFL sales will go through my local shop unless (1) your local and then we can work out something in person OR (2) Your FFL will accept a firearm from a NON FFL. I will not cut corners and will only follow the rules so please don't ask for anything else. I'm open to reasonable offers but don't expect a response if its just silly.
Description:
Imperial Russian Izhevsk 1891 Mosin rifle, in 7.62x54R-- made in 1915. This is NOT the ubiquitous post-WW1 91/30 rifles that are most commonly encountered. The "pinecone" stamp on the stock (see photos) indicates this rifle ended up in Bulgaria-- scarce to find. Mosin rifles in the original 1891 variation saw use in many armies before and during WW1, including Serbia, Montenegro, Romania, Bulgaria, and even Turkey, Imperial Germany, and the U.S. during the North Russia campaign at the end of WW1. A must-have for any WW1 or surplus collection!
Overall nice condition with very good stock and bore. Bluing mostly intact with some thinning bluing on the muzzle and sharper edges of the metal parts from wear. Import marked on the barrel and scrubbed Imperial eagles.
