Winchester custom pre-64 Model 70 .375 H&H Magnum. Serial 426244 is a magnum-length factory barreled action featuring a 25-inch tapered heavy sporter barrel, ramped and hooded front sight, custom scalloped island rear sight with adjustable express blade, reprofiled bolt release button, light weight firing pin and steel quick-release rings (30mm medium). Unattributed as to maker, the AAA-grade claro walnut stock is dressed with bordered wrap checkering accented with diamonds, scalloped cheek rest with shadow line, contrasting wood grip cap, double crossbolts, Howell-type inletted sling swivel studs and a Pachmayr recoil pad. The action is glass bedded to forward of the chamber area and on twin aluminum pillars. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 9.4 pounds and the length-of-pull is 14.6 inches. CONDITION: The bore is strong and bright. Bolt body number matches the receiver. Metal (rust blue) and wood finishes are at least 99 percent as the rifle was never hunted following customization. The price is firm and layaway is available. $4,500 plus shipping.
