Description:
28 inch barrel is marked 30 US, has a bright very good bore showing light frosting and strong rifling throughout. Barrel retains about 90% original blue with some sparse freckling and light handling marks. The Receiver retains about 85% original blue with thinning to pleasant gray-brown patina at the wear points, more so along the upper tang and lever and light handling marks. Excellent mechanics with a smooth tight action. The magazine shows about 90% original blue with some thinning and light wear. Sighted with a small ivory bead front blade, Lyman 21 receiver sight, and a blank in the rear sight dovetail. Smooth walnut stocks are full fitting and remain in very good plus to fine condition, likely having a very light coat of finish added showing only scattered light handling marks and a flat steel shotgun style buttplate.
