A Very Scarce & Early U.S. Civil War Military Issued 76th PA Keystone Zouave Sargeants Jacket In Excellent Untouched Condition. All original throughout, Skukill Arsenal Inspected. The Jacket has an excellent outer wool shell with excellent original red trim. The original red plaid lining is also excellent throughout. Inside the left arm it is Inspected "SA" for Skukill Arsenal and marked size two with two dots. The factory built in gray vest is fine throughout and has two of the small round ball buttons missing. The 76th PA Zouaves were heavily engaged in many battles in South Carolina and Virginia. This included Fort Wagner Where they lost 187 men. Some of the other battles were Pocotalgia SC, Drewry's Bluff VA, Cold Harbor VA, Petersburg VA, Deep Bottom Run VA, Fair Oaks Va, And fort Fisher NC. This Is A Wonderful Example Of A Very Rare & Historic Keystone Zouave Sargeants Jacket In Super Condition That Could Be The Center Of Any Fine Civil War Collection!
