The operating system is a short stroke pushrod system enabling optimum function under adverse conditions. The upper handguard provides a full length MIL-STD 1913 rail. The handguard has interfaces for mounting of MIL-STD 1913 rail segments at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions.
