This Winchester M70 "Super Grade Featherweight" , Cal 30.06 was mfg abt 1954. The bluing is abt 98%. It has the SG
accurements of a Jeweled Bolt, "Super Grade" Imprint at bottom of barrel, Black Forend Cap, Capped Grip, SG imprint
on magazine floorcap, Recessed Sling Hinges, raised Cheekpiece w/Wraparound "Fish Tail" Checkering. Also the
checkering is excellent throughout. (See Pics)
These Featherwights were avaiable in only 4 calibers and were limited to only "1000" units. Rare indeed.
This one is all original w/a mint like stock of "French Burled Walnut" about 98% w/the Correct Aluminum buttplate.
The bore is excellent and the action is normal.
There is also an Aluminum Floorplate w/some slight edgewear. It's had an alunimium scope mounting (See Sde Screw Plugs
in Pics). The scope has been removed & is also available . It's an Lyman 4x Perma-Center w/a Packmayr Swivel Scope Mtg.
I would rate this as an "NRA Excellent" in overal condition. I use The Blue Book of Gun Values for my specs and other Winchester
references for basic Gun Values & info.
