Description:
Serial #2065, .44 Rem Magnum, 6 ½ inch barrel with a bright, excellent bore. This is a second year Ruger “Flattop" Blackhawk revolver manufactured in 1957 and is the second Variation with Walnut grip panels and round concave Type 2 ejector rod thumbpiece. It is equipped with the standard adjustable Micro rear sight the base of which is flush with the flat top of the frame. The early Old Model is in excellent condition retaining about 93-95% of the original blue finish on the cylinder, barrel, and frame with a small patch of finish loss on the upper right side of the top strap, high edges on the cylinder with some scattered small use marks, small spots near the muzzle and front sight, a scratch on the right frame and finish loss on the hammer retaining screw head. The figured walnut grips are near excellent with some light contusions and other very minor use marks and flaking of the Ruger emblem. Mechanically it functions properly with tight lock up and does not have the transfer bar safety update. A great early flattop! FFL or C&R
