*** SOLD*** A True Battle Worn Early WWII Colt 1911A1 from 1942. This Colt is one of 900 pistol shipped to Commanding General, Springfield Armory on February 12, 1942. We have completely inspected his firearm, and it's in original unaltered condition!
It features correct "W.B" inspector mark (Waldemar S. Broberg, Colonel). Correct "G" production order marked on frame and slide, as well as large size "H" provisional inspection mark on Frame (this was eliminated by about 80200 serial number).
Correct barrel with "Colt 45 Auto", "P" on barrel lug, with great bore condition. It features correct checkered Slide Stop, Safety, Hammer, Trigger, and Main Spring Housing!
It has matching serial number under the slide firing pin stop (761013), as it should!
No "crossed cannons" final inspection mark on frame, as its correct for this gun (Ordnance Department adopted such mark in October 1942). The Original correct Coltwood plastic stocks with mold numbers and without strengthening ribs are in fantastic condition!
It comes with correct WWII Scovill Mfg. Co. magazine subcontracted for Colt (thus marked "C-S"), it has the number "4644" inscribed on it, maybe done by soldier...? We find it to be an insteresting touch).
The action on this pistol is crip and operates flawlessly!
